| The right touch of romance and a relaxed mood are key ingredients to a perfect wedding. Kartini and Rich knew exactly how they wanted to celebrate their big day.
Both chose a modern Balinese-inspired theme wedding which paid homage to the bride's second home, Jakarta, Indonesia. Mrs. Priscilla Alampay, the bride’s mother, personally handpicked the vibrant batik prints used for the bridal gown and female entourage members. The wedding invitation featured a unique sketch of the couple amidst a batik background. Kartini was lovely in a custom-made white and silver batik haltered gown with a fitted bodice and trumpet skirt. A beautiful bouquet of tropical wild flowers completed the look.
The Wack-Wack Golf & Country Club was transformed into a Balinese paradise with a unique mixture of flora and spices. The table centerpieces were filled with yellow, orange, and fuchsia orchids creatively arranged in clear glass bowls dotted with floating candles. Dried cinnamon sticks and star anis were sprinkled across the tables which complemented the intricate, custom-made batik napkins.
A special wedding cake made up of hundreds of flower-topped cupcakes arranged in a pyramid was another major attraction. A smaller cake with figurines of the bride and groom, together with their cat and dog (favorite pets of the couple), was a unique cake topper. A special audio-video presentation starring the couple (together with their friends), a take on “Summer Lovin’” from the musical, Grease, set the fun and lighthearted tone of the wedding reception. Conrad Alampay, brother of the bride, surprised the guests with a special magic performance.
After dinner, heartwarming speeches particularly that of the bride’s father, Mr. Francisco Alampay, turned the wedding into an emotionally charged event. In return, the couple surprised their families with a video tribute to their parents and siblings. Overall, the Ladrido-Alampay nuptials was definitely an affair to remember. |

Here's what Rich and Kartini had to say about Events! Events!
The whole wedding planning experience was both fun and memorable when working with Ernest, our wedding coordinator/angel. It was like working with a long-lost friend. Rich and I were impressed with his thoroughness when it came to the details and requirements of the reception down to the programme cards. Aside from being easy to work with, I never felt that anything was impossible when it came to what we wanted for our big day. While the majority of our meetings were to discuss the wedding details, there were also occasions of just sharing our own stories over a cup of coffee. Ernest had that right combination of professionalism and personal touch that is admirable. Not only did Rich and I get the wedding of our dreams but we also made a lifelong friend (to plan our baby shower, our 25th wedding anniversary, kids birthdays...Just kidding!) to celebrate the many other occasions that life has to offer.
