Have you ever been to a wedding that revolved around the arts—specifically painting and photography? This wedding was a welcome challenge for the team, what with May, the bride-a painter and Mario, the groom-a photographer.
May looked beautiful in her silk satin haltered wedding gown as she walked down the aisle of the celebrated Manila Cathedral. The SJT Strings provided ambient music throughout the ceremony. Everyone followed to the reception held at the Maynila Ballroom of the Manila Hotel. Guests were greeted with framed paintings done by the bride, and black-and-white photographs taken by the groom.
During cocktails, the guests got their place cards which were individually wrapped chocolates with the guests’ names printed together with their seat assignment. Gina Galang and Myke Francis of Royal Flower Shoppe transformed the ballroom into a romantic interlude amidst beautiful pink and violet flowers.
A five-layer fondant cake by Angiel-lyn Tan became the focal point with three smaller versions of the cake given to the winners of the games specially devised by the couple. But the best prize was one of the bride’s paintings given to the major winner of the couple’s game.
Guests took home handcrafted notebooks with the bride’s paintings printed on the cover. Note cards featuring the black-and-white photographs of the groom were also given as souvenirs
