What a sight it was when best friends John Peña and Mimi Martires tied the knot. The gorgeous bride was radiant in a masterpiece by Parrish Espiritu Carlos highlighted with a three-layered veil as the dashing groom clad in piña barong waited for her at the end of the aisle.
The entourage wore monochromatic blue gowns with ribbon accents. The couple headed to the Alabang Country Club where the dinner reception was held. Draped with white cloth and crystals, the ballroom set the relaxed and cozy atmosphere for the reception.
The couple started off the programme with the cake-cutting ceremony involving dozens of chocolate and carrot walnut cupcakes which served as wedding tokens for the guests. The couple were seated together with their parents and principal sponsors in a long dinner table decorated by top wedding florist, Gina Galang of Royal Flower Shoppe.
A special audio-visual presentation by Jojo Tatlonghari featured the couple’s pre-wedding pictures shot in their rest houses in Tagaytay.
The night was capped with the couple’s first dance to the music provided by a string quartet.
