| Another wedding, planned and coordinated by the second team, was laidback and fun-filled as originally intended but turned out to be equally memorable.
Together with 250 of their closest friends and family members, Vit and Jamie tied the knot at the scenic San Agustin Church in Intramuros adorned with all-white flowers for the event. Vit was a picture of excitement in her off-white Nono Palmos creation, while Jamie was every inch a gentleman in his all-black ensemble, also by Palmos. The mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Jerry Orbos with music by the GHC Chorale and Global Studio Orchestra under the baton of Mr. Gerard Salonga.
After the church ceremonies, the couple led the guests to the grand ballroom of Hyatt Hotel in Manila to feast on a dinner buffet which included rigatoni salad with seafood and braised baby fennel, shredded roasted chicken with spinach salad, cucumber salad with white wine vinegar and dill dressing, and pumpkin soup. Several hot dishes comprised the buffet which featured as well red snapper medallion in lemon caper sauce, sweet and sour fish, slow-cooked beef with mushroom and toasted garlic, pan-fried chicken with Dijon mustard and roasted Spanish onions, mini piccata oven-roasted tomato chutney, and stir-fried Chinese vegetables with cashew nuts. To complete the buffet, desserts included apple pie, panna cotta, selected sliced fruits, black forest cake, tiramisu and an assortment of cookies. For luck, the couple had a seven-tiered dream white wedding cake with seven satellite cakes in three-layered flavors (butter cake with strawberry jam, apple walnut, and apple rum) all adorned with red roses and created by Foodsense Solutions.
Welcome remarks were delivered by the sister of the bride and maid of honor, Dr. May Diaz, while Pastor Luigi Tabuena led the thanksgiving prayer. Alfred Samonte and Ma. Cecilia Gonong sang several numbers to the delight of the guests. Friends Rich, Tim and Jay grilled the groom.
Jeff Bascon, representing the friends of the bride gave his well-wishes to the couple. An emotional acceptance speech by the bride’s brother, Atty. Anel Diaz, was well-applauded and made everyone teary-eyed. To cap the night, the couple had their traditional first dance. Photo and video documentation was done by Patrick Uy. |

Here's what Jaime and Vit had to say about Events! Events!
"No matter how organized (Read:OC!) a bride or groom may be or how many willing family members are there to help, I realized that having a coordinator is very important. In this regard, choosing Events! Events! as our coordinator was one of the best decisions we made to make our dream wedding come true. I found Ernest as a great consultant and his team as the relaxed but very efficient group that we were hoping for. I always hated the busybody coordinators making themselves known to all and sundry that they are handling the event with their earphones and two-way radios as if that would make them more efficient (but they are not at all doing their job right). Ernest made sure that our wedding was simple but elegant, creative but within our budget, and our choices fun. And more importantly, he made sure we were right on schedule and watched out for those things that would normally be overlooked during the day. He also screened out the unnecessary details. All my family and friends said that during my wedding, I was just smiling and relaxed the way a bride should be-and all because I trusted my coordinators. Thanks Ernest and rest of your team!
