| Jamil and Rache wanted a look of understated elegance for their evening wedding, which they achieved with a unique running element—hearts—from the invitations and misalettes, to the cake and even their AVP.
The couple introduced this theme with the invites: “If you look closely, the main invitation contained patterns of small hearts grouped together to appear like a four-leaf clover,” Rache explained.
The bride was stunning in her regal French lace creation by Merlene Marcelo. The bride’s mother, Mrs. Nola Cadayona, was equally radiant in her baby pink flowing gown done by Marcelo as well. Cristina Canada, also known as TetaNews of 89.9 Magic, emceed the wedding program. She brought the house down with her witty remarks and her classic impersonation of Kris Aquino.
Touching speeches of the newlyweds’ friends led by Joyce Lara, the groom’s honor attendant and Chow Elgar, the bride’s maid of honor made the night more memorable. But the most poignant speech was given by the father of the bride, Dr. Emilio Cadayona, who read a portion of a letter from the bride when she graduated from high school. Not a single eye was dry after that heart-rending speech.
In return, Jamil and Rache thanked all their sponsors and guests who witnessed their union. Rousingly-applauded was the onsite audio-video presentation professionally done by a new group who goes by the name, Triple D (David, Dexter and Delfin). Karl and Mimi capped the night with a slide show presentation of the photos of the wedding preparations, ceremony proper, and myriad portraits while the newlyweds were doing their traditional first dance.
Special Touches:
a) Misallete bookmarks came in the form of unique handcrafted trinkets.
b) The bride and groom’s dressing up in a house (as opposed to dressing up in a hotel) provided a refreshing backdrop for the photographs.
c) Choosing the perfect song for the onsite audio-video presentation proved to be challenging. The couple didn’t take any chance and chose a song which reflected both their personalities and lifestyles.
d) The bridal shoes reflected the design of the bridal gown—the shoes had the same lace work and embroidery done on the wedding gown.
e) The male entourage members wore similar ties to create a more unified look. To make the groom stand out, he was given a different colored tie. |
