| The printed invitation was profuse with tropical flowers. Guests were asked to wear their Hawaiian best. From the moment guests received their invites, they were clued in to the birthday party’s theme. In true Hawaiian fashion, guests were given floral leis upon registration. They were then offered tropical fruit juices and ushered into a photo area with the beautiful sunset as backdrop.
After having their pictures taken, guests enjoyed the picturesque view of the Manila Bay with girls clad in Hawaiian costumes dancing to soft, relaxing music. After which, the celebrant warmly directed everyone to the Sunset Pavilion of Sofitel Hotel. Upon entrance, guests were greeted by festive Polynesian music and moving lights. With the guests wanting for more, the band kicked off the programme with an upbeat rendition of the Hawaii Five-O theme. Gina Galang and Myke Francis of Royal Flower Shoppe transformed the venue into a tropical paradise with live palm trees surrounding the entire dining area.
A wonderful arrangement of dancing lady orchids, bromeliads, curconimas, anthuriums, and fresh fruits served as eye-catching table centerpieces. The focal point was the cake table by the entrance which featured a five- tiered stand with brightly colored cupcakes in royal icing. Close friends and family members took turns in the fun games.
A special audio- visual presentation depicting the mayor as Paranaque’s Big Brother was one of the many highlights of the celebration. The event climaxed with a spectacular pyrotechnics by Dragon Fireworks. Guests danced the night away during the Hawaiian-inspired birthday party of Paranaque Mayor Jun Bernabe.
Special Touches:
a) Coco shells filled with citronella gel candle accentuated with white sand and decorative shells handicrafted by the Parañaque livelihood program participants as giveaways.
b) Tropical fruit juices like pineapple and oranges as cocktails drinks.
c) Ambient music to set the mood and complement the tropical surroundings.
d) Prizes given to the wearers of the best Hawaiian costumes.
e) Long rectangular tables in true Hawaiian spirit for the guests. |
